Pros

The scheduling is very flexible and they give you time off when you need it, even with short notice. As long as you can find someone to cover your shift or switch shifts with you time off is not a problem. Also there is plenty of room for lateral movement, or movement within the company. You can switch stores and positions relatively easily as long as there is a position available where you want to go. The pay is pretty good, and you do get a raise every now and again. They do a pretty good job picking employees who are qualified to be in the department that they are in so no one is placed in an area in which they do not have experience or interest.

Cons

I've got to say "Management, Management, Management" The managers in our store bicker like children. They don't communicate between themselves or the employees who work under them. Also, the training is wanting. The training is very basic and is more oriented on the company as a whole than the job that you will be doing. They rely on a lot of shadowing and observing. There is also little to no recognition of a job well done. If a big sale is made there should be recognition to the employee who made that sale. They really scrimp on hours and will often understaff their stores to save money and make the overall store numbers look better

Pros

Pay, fairly easy to communicate, lot of work, flexible schedule

Cons

Big corporation, impossible to implement new ideas that actually work, they change things based on some crazy idea from a Executive that never had any hands on experience, they make major changes out of nowhere!
