Pros
you get some very varied and interesting clientele. (mostly adult, experience: Krakow Poland). There is a high number of corporate/business English clients. Some very big companies can easily become your daily "bread and butter". You have lessons on location/at the language center/ client's homes = nice a varied. working hours also nice and varied. a lot during the day, since you teach on location, client's workplace. client's home: mostly evening, obviously. Could be ideal for (flexible) self-employed/substituting /online teacher (though you will experience a low salary at B.) because you can enjoy an interesting side job (Berlitz). And it's not always about the money, right?... ;-) I can specifically, heartly recommend Krakow, Poland language center, extremely nice staff/management. So, also good for inexperienced teachers, you get a lot, varied tasks/all levels/ high-end clientele...on your CV. No experience/ TEFL required. Telephone interview, hired on the spot. They provide the training, expect 5 workdays, you do it from your home/good internet, online, adobe "learning room", a Berlitz trainer and a group of around 5 students. pleasant enough. But you won't get paid for the training ("ideal" for in-between jobs /vacation time)
Cons
you are not paid for transportation between lessons, or gaps between lessons. You are only paid for the lessons you teach = if a client needs to reschedule/cancel (sadly, quite often w business clients). You are still paid if the client fails to cancel within 5 hours or so of scheduled lesson.) But it makes it quite complicated for reception to reschedule, and you might not be available when the client needs you. So you loose the "job". I worked 1/2 year, never managed to get full time, and since there is a lot of last-minute/ day before rescheduling, it makes it difficult to combine with another part-time job (if this has fixed hours.)
