We are sorry to hear you did not get what you were hoping for out of your BentoBox experience. To address your comments around the sprint system and burnout, we'd like to share that our Engineering team's average monthly retention rate for the last 12 months is 97.8%.
You're correct, our engineering team does work incredibly hard. On average, our teams exceed their point goals by 12% monthly. We could easily use this stat to raise the bar, but instead, we choose not to because of the exact concerns you are raising - we value our engineers very much, and preventing burnout is top of mind for us.
We utilize this industry standard sprint system because we believe that better planning results in better execution. It aids in time management, holds each team member accountable for their share of the work, removes bias from performance review conversations, and of course, hopefully, ensures no one is being overworked.
