No Training, plenty of Criticism - Project Accountant Benjamin West Employee Review

I love my team and my manager. They offer good opportunity for promotions. Most people are really nice and the company supported me during a personal emergency.

There is limited remote work allowed. Teams work separate and some are better than others.

Gorgeous office, the project coordinators (people that are lower level, haven't been there for a long time) are lovely, kind people. The vendors sometimes bring in free snacks.

I was there for a week. I was instructed to watch over seventeen hours of instructional videos that were recorded during lockdown in 2020, (some were good, some were clearly marketing)- I had hands on training from a lovely person. At 5pm on a Friday, I was told not to come back because I was on my phone too much, and was late my first day. Nobody told me the phone was an issue (especially when I'm just watching videos for the entire day), and I was told being late was normal, and that if I skipped lunch/stayed late it would be okay. Basically I was let go with no warnings, no write up, nothing. I didn't even get a chance to explain myself. I was offered an opportunity, worked my butt off, and was then discarded without even a word.
