Cons
I was an employee of Bell Partners for almost 6 years; Most of my tenure being in Florida. I transferred to Virginia due to family and a few months later decided to start working for Bell again BECAUSE of my experience in Florida. I made some pretty large sacrifices to go back to work for Bell in VA, including work days that were 12-14 hours long because of my commute. After being at this troubled property for 6 months and having no issues with associates, I reported an event of discrimination (towards myself and my residents) that occurred with one of my associates who had less then 90 days of employment with Bell. HR did nothing except hand me disciplinary action 5 days later saying I was being Hostile. No other reason for the disciplinary action was given, I was not allowed to comment about the disciplinary action that was brought to me and I was not shown a hard copy of what I was being ‘disciplined’ for as my supervisor didn’t have a hard copy printed and it was only available on their computer which they refused to show me. I never had a single disciplinary action against me in all my years with Bell, not one single complaint from any of my associates back home and won three national awards at conference (last one being three weeks before this occurred). The Bell I knew didn’t handle things that way, they LISTENED to their employees, stood behind them and DID THE RIGHT THING EVERY-TIME. Remember that core value? Ever since Mary Copeland left all of that has gone down the tubes. This company USED to be great company and it is truly sad and heart breaking to see what has come of it.
