Behavior Frontiers Response
9yI would like to thank you for your service to our clients. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed helping them to reach their goals. With regard to our policies and procedures, their purpose is to protect all involved in this service – both our employees and our clients. As you learned in your ethics training, it is important for us to maintain professional boundaries with our clients, so as not to impair our clinical judgment. Therefore, behavior instructors are certainly allowed to speak with families about the child’s behavioral program – just not about their personal issues or issues outside their scope of practice. I am surprised and concerned to hear that you feel you were not treated well. I wish that you would have brought up your concerns while you were still employed with us so that we could have addressed them. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
