Pros
Pay is in line with market value. Most of the employees that work here try to learn and are nice.
Cons
The CFO is degrading and needs to take some classes on how to treat people. No processes and procedures in place, which is necessary in the Accounting/Finance world. The training is absent, in turn the CFO will tell your colleagues that they “can’t hold your hand” even when it’s an employees first week. Pay stubs and social security numbers are not protected and can be accessed through the shared files. The work life balance is poor. The CFO will call you on your days off to ask you unnecessary questions. They are hyper focused on meeting deadlines, so upper management will force employees to cut corners to assure things get done fast rather than correctly. CFO requires employees to work late hours/weekends to accomplish last minute projects. The CFO tries to manipulate and intimidate employees into behaving the way she deems necessary, she claims that the only way to have a good career is to stay with Beacon. She also tells employees who voice their concerns that they are uneducated and inexperienced to make concerns feel invalid. Additionally, she acts unprofessionally by asking for confidential financial information from your previous employer’s company.
