Pros

Beacon is a great place to work and grow, there are clear growth opportunities and expectations are set early and often. I have noticed my own professional development throughout my time here and attribute much of that to the opportunities I've had and the people who have coached me along the way!

Cons

I don't believe this is a con but Beacon challenges its employees to become better professionals. I have learned a lot about how I react in certain situations which can be difficult to realize at times.

Pros

- Experienced Leadership. Cannot stress this point enough. even though Beacon is a startup there's a sense of "We've been here before, we know what we're doing". Founders have previous successful exits. Processes and plans are built to scale for the long-term. There's significant mentorship, and never a "go figure it out on your own" attitude. - Friendly, transparent culture. Majority of new employees have stated in one way or another "You talked about having a positive culture, but I'm still surprised by how open and friendly people are here". - Remote first approach that embraces modern work flows. - Coaching culture. Senior leadership carves out necessary time to make sure everybody feels empowered to do their job and learn. - Many growth opportunities. We're growing organically, but quickly.

Cons

These are less so cons, and more just facts: - We're building the plane as we fly it. There is a fair amount of unknown territory that needs to be navigated on a daily basis. - We're in a services business, which means significant amount of time interacting with candidates, clients, etc. - Business processes are quantitatively measured, or moving towards being quantitatively measured. Not a great place for people who don't enjoy following or operating within clearly defined processes and systems. As the business matures, this will only become more common.
