Pros
A lot of the co-workers I had were wonderful to work with on a day to day basis.
Peers on other teams were great and usually helpful even when under other workloads.
Cons
Higher ups couldn't be bothered to answers any questions/messages, even when important. When they did answer and it was too late, if something happened because of this, they would show agitation at the employee themselves.
The higher ups sincerely make it dreadful. I had an issue with an immediate higher up who had placed me on LWOP without approval for 3 weeks unjustifiably. I reached out all other higher ups I could think to contact and none of them knew about it, and seemed shocked. After about a week, they said they may be able to reimburse me for that time. I explained I was uncomfortable returning to the same immediate higher up as there have been issues in the past, but this put it over the edge. There are two "Service Desk" sides, I had asked to be moved to the other "side", under a different supervisor. They lied and said there were no openings on that side for me. However, I spoke with multiple people on that side every day and knew this was untrue. They instead offered me an on-site position, that any other time would be a promotion (like from Tier 1 to Tier 2), but without any improvements in pay, etc. I stated I did not want this, as there were more cons than pros for me if I take that role, and asked again to be put on the other Service Desk team when there was an opening. They stated there will be no openings, and if I don't take the job they offered that's all they had.
One of the higher ups called me at 8am (on a day I was not working) and left me a voicemail stating if I did not respond to her within 2 hours I would be terminated. I also received an email stating since these were my "working hours", if I do not respond I will be terminated. However, I was placed on LWOP, and this was the THIRD time they requested I make myself available to them during my "working hours", (both of my immediate higher ups also asked me to make myself available to them without warning twice before this during the LWOP period) without being paid. I responded letting the higher up who called me know this, and she stated if I did not log in by 12:30pm that day I would be terminated.
I did not log in.
