Pros
Laid back work environment, little supervision, low pressure, low expectation
Cons
Very disorganized organizationally, no job descriptions, no training/on-boarding, no HR department, managers lack experience and leadership, lacking common sense business practices - Ex. staffing one person at the club at a given time or having internet that can handle the rigors of a commercial business or having functional club management software that does what it's supposed to do or making sure the till has change - problems exist and no one fixes it, no designated meal times due to no coverage, frequent accounting errors with pay, frequent customer billing errors, no yearly reviews or raises, no upward mobility in company and no development from management, jobs are often not posted and given to friends, facilities are poorly kept and managed, cleanliness suffers, under-qualified and underdeveloped professional staff and quality of classes and personal training suffers, no real system for tracking trials and frequent abusers
