Pros

I have nothing nice to say.

Cons

This place is a nightmare. Weird hours, sweltering hot because of the ovens, no breaks, hateful supervisors. My first day I knew it was a mistake to show up. Got placed there through a temp agency, showed up and they placed me on the line: so far so good. We get lunch break within 45 minutes of the start of the shift, then I'm informed there aren't any breaks afterwards until end of shift. So you're constantly moving on the line, sweating, everyone's bickering because it's hot and if you slow down or start making mistakes, a supervisor will yell at you to hurry up and pay attention. Overall, you're better off working at McDonald's, and you'll get paid more.

While our environment can be quite hot in the summer due to the heat outside and working near large ovens inside, we try to provide as much relief as possible by providing large fans throughout the production areas, add water stations close to the production lines so employees can stay hydrated and we rotate people to different production lines to allow more people to work in our Pack-out Room, which is an air-conditioned room. We are a bakery and the ovens can make our production areas hot. This should have been explained prior to your assignment and I apologize if it wasn't. As far as lunch breaks, we rotate people to cover lunches so people go to lunch at different times throughout the shift. If you go early one day, the next day you would go more toward the middle or later in the shift. We attempt to be fair to everyone with this rotation schedule. Unfortunately, we are unable to shut the production lines down for everyone to take a break at the same time. If someone needs an additional break, we try to accommodate these as often as possible.
