Pros

Direct experience working with and learning from senior management, super intelligent and talented people, exposure to a wide range of projects covering a multitude of therapeutic areas, reasonable work/life balance for strategy consulting and great atmosphere...I am thoroughly enjoying my time at BBLSA.

Cons

The firm is small so we do not have the classic formal training structure that many larger firms have. This means that the learning curve can be steep at first. Unclear policy on promotions.

Pros

-Consultants work on everything from competitive landscaping, scientific due diligence, and asset valuation to M&A and licensing processes -Small project teams mean analysts and consultants often interact directly with partners and C-level leaders of clients, accelerating learning and visibility -Diversity of work across rare-disease, oncology, neurology, and other advanced modality markets -Office location in the heart of Back Bay neighborhood of Boston

Cons

-Boutique size and typical consulting deadlines/unpredictability can make for long hours, at times -Structured development programs could be grown/enhanced -Fewer rungs in the hierarchy can be good for exposure but also make long-term career planning less clear
