Pros
BHP is a large company with a lot of opportunity for the ambitious, but you have to work very hard and cultivate relationships with the right people to ensure you get noticed. Great base pay is incentivizing and makes it difficult to consider leaving. Diversity and (for the most part) strong performers make for a dynamic and challenging work environment.
Cons
Overwhelmingly frustrating at times due to a continued lack of organizational alignment of priorities. Teams are not always staffed with employees having the right skill sets to be successful. Career development is regularly an afterthought as business need comes first. Middle management needs more training and coaching.
