Another re-org to improve performance in April, but just a shuffling of chairs in senior management. Too bad, because lack experience and basic skills at this level severely impedes the organization. Happened three times since I've been at Hydro - every time one or two seniors leaders with particularly spectacular screw-ups will be laid off, a few more will be demoted or shuffled into a minor portfolios, but most lay-offs will be professionals and office-based union employees. People with the right education, 10, 20, 30 years experience and no obvious performance issues walked out the door, while leaders who are widely known to be incompetent are still in place. I guess they just blame their staff?!
