Pros
- Great work environment. Friendly and helpful coworkers. Lots of perks including canucks/whitecaps tickets, company retreats, lunches, gift cards, raffle prizes, Christmas bonus, dental & extended medical, etc. The owners/management are extremely easy to get along with and are the sort of people you grab drinks with after work. They are the very definition of down to earth. - Flexible hours and work life balance. Management does not mind you leaving early or coming in late as long as you work hard and are there for clients. They understand people have lives outside of work and encourage you to be there for what matters most in your life. - Professional environment with growth opportunities. They give you autonomy to run your own projects and control a budget. They do not micromanage you and they listen to your ideas and suggestions for improved efficiency and growth. If you are ambitious and want to create opportunities, management will not only listen, but reward you for you creativity. The company growth means that if you are a leader there is opportunity for career advancement. - Excellent company vision. Rapidly growing company with profit sharing. They understand the employees are the lifeblood of the company and share the profits via a generous yearly bonus. They understand the building envelope market and are constantly expanding their services and pursuing new clients. They are a very stable employer.
Cons
- I had to pay too much tax on my bonus. - The prime rib included with the premier canucks tickets was slightly overcooked. - they didn't have enough IPA at the company retreat. - literally nothing that matters. I miss working for them. I moved for personal reasons and would happily go back.
