Upper management cutting staff costs has led to a massive decline in quality and enjoyment at work. Everyone is perpetually stressed, running around and with no time to get what needs to be done, done. Even customers have noted how little staff are around and how hard it is to find someone to help. Been working for B&Q for nearly 5 years and in the last 1-1.5 years i've noticed the change. It started when they removed the service desks, putting more work onto the staff on the shop floor. I was off for 4 months after an injury beginning of 2024 and coming back in made me realise how much stress it is working for the company, and many people I work with feel the same and are actively hunting for new jobs or have already left.
