Generally, very nice and well-behaved students and helpful staff.

Probably true everywhere after COVID - assignments are posted by teachers in Schoology. Subs don't have access to Schoology and are basically babysitters.

The students and some coworkers are a positive part of the experience and can help make challenging days more manageable. These relationships are often the most rewarding aspect of the role despite the broader workplace challenges.

The overall work environment is very challenging due to a consistent lack of support, poor communication, and limited follow-through from administration at multiple levels. Expectations are high, but the resources and backing provided often feel minimal. In athletics, support can be especially limited, creating a high-stress environment. There is also a strong culture of micromanagement, with leadership closely overseeing day-to-day tasks to a degree that can make it difficult to operate independently or feel trusted. Employees may find themselves managing multiple responsibilities without adequate support while also navigating unclear or inconsistent communication, which adds to stress and requires extra effort to maintain accountability.
