Pros

Silver Lake bought Avaya 8 years ago with the intention of trimming it down and refocusing on the most relevant or profitable product lines. The company pays well and the product offering is solid.

Cons

The current market shift toward 'the cloud' is killing traditional telco companies. This trend seems to have caught Avaya's upper management flat-footed. Avaya has restructured three times over the past two years to try to adjust. There are good people there with good intentions, but thetraditional telco industry is dying and Avaya isn't strong enough to beat Cisco and other strong players in this shrinking market. Cisco has a good reputation, a large installeld customer base and a strong channel partner program. It's tough to compete with that!

Pros

The company used to care about customers, but they removed all the sales people who actually visited and consulted with customers to save travel cost.

Cons

The company's newest CEO, Patrick, only cares about getting back to a Cybersecurity company as fast as possible. Can't sell the company fast enough, but buyers can't get past due diligence periods.
