Pros
Avanade and their employees were well-meaning, and good at their core competency of selling and delivering large-scale Microsoft solutions. There was a clear and structured hierarchy. There was also a good sense of Avanade as a global business. Bonuses and discretionary payments were generous.
Cons
A highly risk-averse and process-heavy approach meant that pre-acquisition momentum was all but killed off after about 6-9 months. There was too much emphasis on mapping pre-acquisition roles and processes to the Avanade ways, which resulted in a high degree of friction, and overall employee disatisfaction. A bit like pouring cold water on a hot engine, many cracks appeared, and a large number of people were either made redundant or left, creating a negative culture and poor workplace experience,
