Pros

- Interesting industry sector - Cool tech, although there are better on the market - Nice coworkers - Great clientele list

Cons

- The role and company were nothing like what I was sold in the interview - Staff is overworked, under-appreciated and underpaid for what they are expected to deliver. The workload is overwhelming and people work outside of their hours on a regular basis to complete projects. Expect to work evenings and weekends. - Attraqt doesn’t care about the well-being and mental health of their staff. People report burning out to their managers and even openly state it in team meetings and it goes unaddressed. - Management is old-school and a boys club. Diversity and inclusion are not valued or a priority and there are HUGE salary discrepancies between male and female staff. - There is some major nepotism going on. Senior execs hire their mates and promote them, even though some of them are completely unqualified for the roles they are offered. It’s all about who you know. Some staff even got hired without having to go through a proper interview process. - There are lots of office politics and the company is very gossipy. The way some people speak about their colleagues and team members is absolutely disgusting. - Managers take credit for their team members’ work on a regular basis. There’s also a lot of finger-pointing going on to pass blame. - Outdated technology slows down the day to day and prevents efficiency. Their information sharing and collaboration tools are awful. - They call themselves a “growth company” but have such a high staff turnover that they are losing staff at the same rate they are hiring. - There are a few extremely knowledgeable and passionate people pleading with the senior exec team to implement changes to make the company better, but they refuse to listen. - Attraqt has no interest in addressing any underlying issues. Instead, the company just puts bandaids on problems in an attempt to save face. For instance, by putting up inflated Glassdoor reviews written by the leadership team, to counteract negative staff ones. - Not surprisingly, talented, dedicated and passionate employees have been leaving the company in swarms … some without another job lined up. That says it all!

Pros

Prospects react very positively to the value proposition of the product. Management is willing to invest in cutting edge technology for employees. Compensation was reasonable.

Cons

No US Management in the sales organization. Slow Turnaround from UK sales management. UK sales management was occasionally completely unresponsive. Offer letter promised half of North America as a territory, but that never materialized. Inbound leads in North America went to UK sales team. UK team had an unlimited number of holdover accounts with no transition plan for North American Team. UK team had an inside sales rep generating US leads for them despite having a US team. UK team had the freedom to prospect any US account they wanted. Despite missing thousands of key prospects in the CRM - US sales executives were told to focus on their 200 assigned accounts. Assigned accounts comprised of those that the UK team were unsuccessful with earlier that year. Prospecting process was dictated by the CCO.
