Pros

Working Schedule and Flexibility Friendly Co-Workers

Cons

Pay - horrible and the only ones that get good pay are the executive and leadership team, yet, others are the ones that do most of the work. Executive team is horrible ever since our CEO left - and the reason she left is because of the unethical things that our CFO did. Disgusting. Now we are left to trust our CFO to run our company until the new CEO gets in place?? Ridiculous. Executive and Leadership team do not hold people accountable. Employees sit around and do nothing for the majority of the day, and leadership sits right next to them and don't say a word, yet the ones that do their work consistently, never get recognized - that is, unless you are on the "golden team"...but most of them are in a special "group" to help make decisions.

Pros

Atomic Learning was started by a small group of teachers, and the culture they instilled certainly carries on almost 15 years later. Employees are valued for their individual talents and personality traits. Different styles of communication and individual process preferences are not just tolerated, they're embraced. This isn't a shoehorn company. While Atomic Learning isn't a large company, and direct promotional paths don't exist for every position, both skill set and salary growth are vigorously encouraged and supported. Management staff are attentive and approachable, trusting a well-selected staff to self-actualize and bring their passion to bear on the work. Atomic's management are very accommodating of family and health needs. Workday exercise is encouraged and facilitated. Workplace fun is an everyday occurrence, making it a joy to be part of the team.

Cons

Atomic Learning is located in a small-ish city, meaning the majority of employees either travel 20-40 minutes each way, or work remotely as a matter of course. This means vehicle and time costs are incurred. That said, traffic congestion and safety aren't much of a concern due to lightly-traveled roadways. Dining options and other local amenities are somewhat sparse.
