Hypocritical HR Practices
Backsniping colleagues who try and make you own their failures
The phrase “We don’t believe in raises” is one I’ve heard from HR on multiple occasions.
Directors and leaders often prioritize minor issues, which can lead to frustrating clients and losing business.
There is a significant lack of subject expertise within the development team, resulting in key features that are practically unusable.
Phrases like “Not my job,” “Never heard that before,” “That’s not how we do things around here,” “That’s not what my boss says,” and “We don’t work with that department” are frequently used to justify a refusal to improve the low standards.
The equipment provided is subpar (there’s no budget for headsets, yet there is enough to fly directors first class around the world for dinners).
