Pros

Aston Carter is a phenomenal place to grow, and I’m currently working for a great leader (easily the best boss I’ve ever had—which makes my job much more meaningful and worthwhile). The environment and culture provide a great deal of upward mobility for people willing to learn the processes and commit to doing the work. Personal/professional development, training, and leadership are truly second to none. I’ve never encountered an organization that so highly prioritizes growth of their employees and partners. Coworkers are super fun, and there is great cohesion between teams and regions. Walking into work is exciting. I would absolutely recommend Aston Carter as a great place to work. The leadership has a vested interest in your success. Compensation potential is fantastic. There are people in 2nd and 3rd year making six figures (base + commission). Work/life balance is very good. Basically goes like this: Did you hit your goals? Awesome! Do what you need to do to get the job done. There is some work from home flexibility (1-2 days/week). Honestly, though, being in the office is a blast. Working from home is boring in comparison. The work is hard, for sure. It can be a grind. But so can any job. So why not put in the time & effort with an employer who will train, promote, recognize, and reward you? That is what makes Aston Carter stand so far above the rest.

Cons

The base salary and commission compensation plan could be better, in my opinion. But due to the company’s large moat, you’ll be making great money even at lower commission percentages. Benefits are horrendous. It’s the only true negative, in my opinion. It seems like the company assumes that high compensation due to commission will offset bad benefits packages (which is somewhat true).

Pros

Aston Carter provided excellent opportunities for professional growth, career progression, and leadership development. I had the opportunity to work with some of the largest healthcare and insurance clients in the country, build strong client relationships, and lead high-performing teams. The company offers strong training, a collaborative culture, and a performance-driven environment where hard work is recognized and rewarded. I was fortunate to work alongside talented colleagues and supportive leaders who helped me grow both personally and professionally.

Cons

Like many staffing and recruiting organizations, the environment can be fast-paced and demanding, with a strong focus on metrics and performance goals. Work-life balance can be challenging during peak periods, and processes can sometimes vary between offices or leadership teams. However, these challenges also create opportunities for growth and development.
