Pros

The people are nice enough usually, the hours are standard, and performance expectations are low (demonstrated best by their own HR team)

Cons

The HR team includes some of the most incompetent people I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. The HR team is ridiculous, they don’t know their own policies and make it your problem. They have the most inefficient processes that don’t make sense and the staff aren’t even familiar with. Best of all - They pay below market and pretend it’s competitive by dropping tons of responsibilities on you outside your job description.

Pros

Steady paycheck. Decent benefits. Good diversity. Many people are exceptionally skilled at what they do. Some really good middle-level managers.

Cons

Has gone downhill since I've started here. This company has good roots, but over the past couple of years it has taken a lot of mental gymnastics to keep up with all of the changes in upper management. There's been high turnover rates in plant operations, mass department layoffs and "consolidations" that leaves many feeling insecure. Most are required to shoulder the work of many roles for no increase in pay. The now skeletonized staffing also appears to affect safety culture in a negative way.
