Pros

1. Since the overall model is very challenging and interesting so you will get a good exposure on the technology front. 2. Basically its roots belong to fashion Industry so you will get unrealistic timelines, therefore u will learn fast. 3. Being a Arvind employee you will get discounts on some brands.

Cons

1. Delayed Salary. 2. Delayed appraisal cycle - at the time of joining they will commit about their fair 360 degree appraisal cycles but reality is you will have to pester them over and over again until your hopes are reduced to ashes 3. Less or no perks - no team lunches, no outing, just keep working like a donkey. That is what they expect of you. 4. Lots of meetings with no outcomes and sky-high expectations of deliverables. 5. At the time of joining they will ask you join ASAP but if you decide to quit the organization (due to the obvious reasons), they will raise a hue and cry making your life as miserable as possible. Thinking of buyouts by your new company? Sorry, they dont allow that. 5. Final settlement - Even if you have served your notice period, you may have to wait for 4-8 months for final settlement. Re-inserting toothpaste back into its tube would be much easier than coaxing them to be fair. 6. Funny Product management team - The days of a good product management team are history. If you are a developer, run for your sanity(Oh, if you decide to join Arvind after reading this review, you are probably insane anyways) !

Pros

The ideas were brilliant and first team who started building it worked really hard. As an employee, the Arvind discounts you can avail are amazing.

Cons

After the team changed because of a few changes in management, the company was a slippery slope and the management made the employees work more and more (more than 10hrs a day and 7 day week) on a sinking ship. There was no transparency with the management. The HR kept changing every 2 months and the rules weren't certain. No over pay or extra credit was given to the employees who worked really hard for over 10 hrs a day without holidays. Planning wasn't done right, and overestimating an employees work force led to the disheartening of employees and people slowly started quitting which only added more pressure to the people who continued working here. There was no regard for an employee's personal life, according to the management, all the employees owed all their life time to this company. Hiring process included an intern (who was still a student ) to take up interviews which led to bad employees coming in and not adding much to the team. As if that isn't bad enough, the company has been posting fake reviews for itself on glassdoor and fooling innocent people into becoming their slaves.

Arvind Response
8y
Dear Employee, While I cant respond much on your journey as mentioned above , all I would say is that the place we know as Arvind Internet is open, innovative, evolving and a place where employees come together and are empowered to build their space the way they like. I dont see them needing a social forum to voice their thoughts. As an ex-employee please come over anytime if you have things you believe you want to share in detail . Also for those who visit Glassdoor as a means to understand the inside world of a company, its is a forum where I dont think leaders would resort to fake reviews, one does not need to resort to those practices at any point. Employees are our biggest asset and they will spread the positive word.
