Pros
A great place to develop communication, sales and customer service skills.
An opportunity to build up your confidence with face-to-face interactions.
Good for meeting new people.
Cons
100% commission based - this wouldn't be too much of an issue if you didn't have to pay for your travel to different locations on a daily basis, or for "business trips" across the UK.
Long hours - you will work from 07:30 am till 19:30 pm or longer and in some cases, you might not earn any commission.
Patronising environment - management and "experienced" members will constantly imply that this is the only place where you can earn "£1000" in 1 week. The problem with this is that 1) The majority of people there rarely (if ever) earn that and 2) you can definitely earn over £1000 in 1 week or less in other sales jobs that offer a lot more stability.
Attitude - yes we all need to have positive attitudes in any role. But to be blamed for not getting sales because of your "attitude" is ridiculous. The real reason, more often than not, is that the CEO doesn't put his money where his mouth is and invest into better locations to sell at.
CEO - Renowned for trying to hit on new female employees and existing members of staff. Fast tracks his "favourites" as opposed to offering people the same opportunity. He's over 30 and constantly relies on the company of 18-23-year-olds. Will boast about his "life" and "money" but rumour has it he didn't pay his own rent for over 3 months.
