Pros

Compared to many of its competitors, Aracari has a great portfolio of unique experiences which makes their product to sell to pre-existing relationships/agents for the most part.

Cons

Promises are broken on a daily basis here - do your homework and get everything in writing. If management won't give you something in writing you should not expect their word to be trusted. Contracts, Commissions, and bonuses are not honored. The general office environment is the poorest I've ever seen in Peru for a Travel Company. People are disrespected on a daily basis and forced to deal with unethical and inappropriate behavior/comments from their superiors almost every day. Over the last couple years, a number of complaints have been made to lawyers and the ministry of trabajo in Peru. The general things you can expect from upper-management are that they are either not present physically or involved in the day to day operations or that they will not be there to support/help/assist in any meaningful way. Important email requests to management often go unanswered and unacknowledged. The turnover rate in the Sales Team is higher than almost any place I've ever seen because people quickly learn it's not a good place to work despite the companies reputation as a luxury operator. Human Resources is non-existant.

Pros

-They have great clients, so in comparison with other agencies who spend more money on adwords to get neads than organic channels, you have a very high chance of actually making a sale.

Cons

-Work environment is toxic, most of the employees are 40-50-year-old that are very jealous and feel threatened by younger people, especially when they do a better job. - The owner is a Peruvian expert on luxury travel. However, the day to day operations are supervised accounting team with no knowledge of travel, tourism or general management best practices for simple communication. - Management doesn't seem to understand that you can treat employees right and get better results. They have no consideration for their employees. - Most employees work lots of extra hours on a regular basis (without getting paid) just for business needs but when they asked for some consideration to arrive late/leave early for any personal reason they wouldn't allow it regardless of their willingness to compensate the hours. - Management is clueless in regards to taking care of their employees so that they take care of their customers, it was expressed to them and HR team but the message never got across (still hasn't as I have friends still working there).
