Work from home, lots of leeway on TOC, short books.

Doesn't pay that well.

There is a lot of work as they are continually pumping out books.

Editing work is grossly underpaid; for only $3.50 per page, they expect copyediting (what they refer to as "language editing") for books that have been written by people for whom English is not their first language. Sometimes this is just a matter of poorly written work; other times the amount of editing is nearly on par with rewriting the entire thing to make it remotely comprehensible. They should be paying much more for this level of work. On top of that, they take an egregiously long time to pay freelancers—I have had more than one invoice take 3 MONTHS to be paid. Stay away!
