Cons

- Bonus structure has declined in recent years despite the company’s financial growth. - Leadership added churn as a bonus criterion, and because targets weren’t met, employees received zero for that portion — very demotivating. - Work-life balance can be difficult. Global teams mean long hours or late-night/early-morning meetings depending on your role. - Communication around compensation and performance metrics can feel unclear or inconsistent. - Expectations can be high without corresponding adjustments in resources or staffing. - The acquisition of Igloo has brought no visible benefit to employees. It's hard to expect people to celebrate an acquisition when there's no positive impact on workload, compensation, or career growth.

Pros

Appspace has offered a great work-life balance, a willingness to embrace new ideas, and an environment that’s supportive without creating constant performance pressure.

Cons

Some of the challenges I’ve experienced at Appspace have been leadership inconsistency due to organizational changes and turnover at the upper-management level. At times, decision-making authority felt limited, which slows progress. There also needs to be more structured coaching and mentorship opportunities from senior high performers to help support continued growth and development.
