Pros
- If you’re talented, you will be compensated with extra bonuses. - Overseas talent can work from home. - If you work in China, you get a lot of free products and Anker swag. - Free lunch if you work in China.
Cons
- Changes in management have made it clear that your opinions don’t matter. They will gaslight you if you question their authority. - Work-life balance is non-existent. If you work in China, expect to be working until at least 9 p.m. one day a week and a Saturday or Sunday once a month. - Most assignments are urgent (some unreasonable), and your colleagues’ missed deadlines will become your problem daily. - HR is very shady. They will try to gaslight you during contract negotiation. You need to be firm and stand your ground. - Poor quality control on marketing and UI material. - Diversity is very poor in marketing, both staffing and in materials. - Corruption appears to be a problem among various staff members. - If you’re overseas staff in China, you will be asked to do product testing a lot. - Sometimes even basic facts that can be answered with a Google search are questioned by colleagues, wasting time. The lack of world awareness is mind-boggling. - Turnover is ridiculously high across every department. - Six month probation for new employees.
