Pros
Nothing since 2022. Lots of pros before that do not matter now.
Cons
Back when I joined in 2020, I was surrounded by extremely smart folks. Many of them left to join other organizations or were let go. Entire teams let go after being constantly lied to about profitability. The old group that is around still is mostly just HR and other admin departments and it seems like they have forgotten how to their job. You will not get any support from them. Even if you complain against your manager for rude behavior, nothing will be done, except for maybe a slap on the wrist. All the tech -- which is horrible -- is Linear's. Cannot say enough bad things about their platform. I feel really bad for clients that are getting duped into it. It's a joke. Middle management has no real skill except for being friends with people on the top. Don't believe me? If you get a chance, just look at them fawning over Adam when they clearly know he has no idea what he's up to. It feels funny. You can tell there's a whole different level of sycophancy in Zoom meetings/presentations even when the content and messaging is crap and changes in weeks. Props to the leadership for cultivating that respect for people who have no direction. If you heard of good things about Amount, it was true once upon a time, but constant reorgs, promotions of just a select few and acquiring the wrong company has really set it back. If you are looking for a tech career here, please reconsider. Unless you're getting paid $200k for a Product/tech role for 4-5 years of experience, I would not recommend this place.
