Is this your company?

Not an MLM or a "get rich quick" scheme. Can be a very rewarding and high paying career for the right individual - Supervising Agent American Income Life: AO Employee Review

Pros

We are unionized by UNIFOR. Helping all working families and protecting all Children. We provide permanent and portable Insurance benefits to Union members and their families. I've been with the company less than one year and I LOVE my career. Its not easy work but it is extremely rewarding IF you have good work ethic and an outgoing personality. The leadership team is there to help motivate you and teach you how to succeed. This is NOT like Scentsy or Arbonne. The new agents are compensated very well and the longer you are with the company the more successful you will be. COMPLETELY WORK FROM HOME POSITIONS SINCE THE PANDEMIC BEGAN IN 2020. We not longer have to drive to see people, we meet with union members and clients virtually so you can work from the comfort of your own home. AO is the ONLY insurance company that give you leads, there is no prospecting for your own clients or cold calling random people. All leads are gathered through a database where union members or potential clients request information from us so we call them and book them in for an appointment. You DO NOT have to try and sell insurance to your family or friends, but you can if you want :P

Cons

You have to get a License to sell Life insurance. The examination process can be tough but once you pass the test you can apply in any state or province without doing the exam all over again. Its not easy work but it is EXTREMELY rewarding. Other than that there really are no other cons for me. I get to work from home, I make great money, I love the team and I can create my own schedule!

Pros

Great pay, good consistent training, great management (I personally had a great management team, I know this can vary)

Cons

Fully Remote (this is a con for me as it took a toll on my health over the years), It is commission based which can be tough for some people. There was a noticeable amount of past clients cancelling due to an agent adding more insurance that was too expensive and often didn't properly explain that they were adding more.
