Pros

My role at Ameritech is in the processing department, I enjoy working with my coworkers as we have a good time. We help process clients files in their applications to the department education. With thousands of clients it's always interesting to see a name that I recognize weeks sometimes months apart and see that this person has been able to be accepted into income-based repayment program. The work environment is fun with drawings and spiffs as well as everybody is helpful with each other. The operations training department is only one person but she does a good job at helping us keep up on the newest rules and regulations as well as the overall processes of the company. Each of the operations departments work with each other and know each other, which is very important in a large company so that you understand what the mission of the company is. The v.p., managers, supervisors all do a good job at overseeing our workflow and helping us when things get backed up.

Cons

The work can sometimes be monotonous but it is an office job with paperwork so that's what I would expect. There used to be catered lunches but they were stopped and never started again. That would be a good thing to do since there are close to 100 of us, but I am sure expensive.
