Scheduling is bad, really bad. Can’t get started with your day sometimes until noon, but have to be on an 8:15am morning meeting call. So just waste my day asking about/waiting for patients to be scheduled. Then can’t even get 6 points done in 5 hours after calling and scheduling. Forget eating.
Pay is pretty bad. They say $80k when you sign on, but pay per point and even if you work full time the pay per point x 30 points weekly is only $70k. You’d have to work overtime to get $80k and you are exempt from overtime pay, so you aren’t getting paid more to do more.
On call isn’t as bad as other places, but weekend work sucks…weekend pay is hardly any different and is still by point, no overtime despite working sometimes 8-10 hours of overtime. I didn’t find out I was exempt from overtime until after several weeks of onboarding.
Sent me out on day long ride alongs for onboarding that sometimes went from 8-am-8pm…then refused to pay me overtime 5pm-8pm despite me still being on orientation low hourly wage and my day supposed to be ending at 5pm.
The job is way too stressful and the time it takes to do a proper job and not a half***ed one is not worth the $55k I was making because I wasn’t even at productivity due to low census/poor scheduling.
