He truly believes in a "lean and mean" staffing model, but to a fault. Talent is leaving because of this. Also, infrastructure and processes are failing in the face of unprecedented volume, and it seems like employees (across the organization - not just in operations) are struggling to keep their heads above water. The company is so awfully slow at getting anything done that this is spinning out of control, and the problems are compounding and productivity is suffering. No one in upper management acknowledges this publicly, but behind closed doors everyone agrees that it is an issue.
