Pros
Worked for Align for almost 3 years and had a great team of people in my training department. I have nothing but fond memories (and respect) for the men and women in our group. The technology they provide to both dental professionals and the general public are substantial (I wish I had Invisalign when I suffered through my headgear in my teen years...). A solid company both in their market space and their day-to-day benefit to consumers.
Cons
The company, though highly prosperous in the field of dental technology, was while I worked there, not professional in two ways. First, in the way they handled qualified people being considered for higher level positions. Specifically, in the Fall on 2020, our group of trainers were informed that one trainer was promoted to supervisor level. With 27 trainers and 5 existing supervisors, we were surprised to learn a person was promoted with no notice or chance for any other well-qualified trainer to throw their hat in the ring as they say. No-one even knew their was an opening. Second, in Fall 2020 the company had training supervisors monitor (i.e. jump onto) any online client training session with as little as 10 minutes notice. As any distance educator knows, there is stress in training a new client. This was an unnecessary added pressure (i.e. being monitored) that could have been remedied by simply recording the sessions for later review. I suggested that solution and was told that was not an option.
