Pros
I worked at Adviser Investments for over 18 years and retired. With very few exceptions, I enjoyed my time there. The company encourages growth and development and if you put in the work, your efforts will be rewarded. I found the upper level executive management team to be people of integrity. I did have occasional run-ins, and at the end of the day we were always able to work out a solution. The most important part of that team was that during 2000 -2002 & 2007-2009 market volatility, their number one concern was the welfare and consideration of the clients. I knew I could count on their leadership to get us through those difficult times. (I like the example of a lighthouse in a storm) When it became time to retire, the company was extremely generous with my severance package and has kept in touch after I left the firm. The real strength of the company (in my opinion) lies in the relationships formed with the clients. Whether it be with the individual client service representatives and/or the portfolio executives the clients always knew they could count on the those teams to provide world class customer service and management.
Cons
While I was very satisfied with my experience at Adviser Investments, there was always room for improvement. Without singling any one specific individual, I thought communication between different management teams could be improved. (This may have changed since I left.)
