Pros
Most providers are pleasant to work with. Pays well.
Cons
Management is terrible, plays favoritism, actively does not care about employees and treats them like a warm body. Allow patients to verbally accost staff on a regular basis. Unrealistic expectations of staff doing multiple jobs (outside of scope), am not a social worker and should not be obligated to coddle patients that are aggressive as well as non-compliant to care. Don’t voice frustration unless you want a target on your back. Don’t have your own medical concerns (covered under FMLA), they will actively look for reasons to get rid of you. You better get along with your direct manager because they are the ones who decide when/ IF you can be transferred. HR is unhelpful and only concerned with whoever ranks highest. Phony people have to repeat how much they care, when their actions directly contradict that. Management dictates everything while they have not spent 1 second doing patient care and are absolutely clueless to what goes on, they need to be in a cubical in an office building, not in healthcare. Building is dirty and run down with ceiling tiles missing throughout, with trash bins collecting water below, super classy place.
