Pros

In a stable economy, if you are with the right customer, your job security is pretty good. ATS sincerely looks to develop and retain talent. ATS has done well to diversify their customer base to ensure consistent business performance in spite of economic change that may impact one industry more than another.

Cons

Current company initiatives are being forced out to employees of customers who are not supportive of these initiatives. This often leads to the feeling of failure since you are failing the customer to support the initiative or failing the company to support the customer. Management does not seem interested in identifying these sites and taking necessary steps to ensure employees are equipped with accurate priorities to focus their desire to be successful. Sadly, communication about the most current initiative is one direction from upper management ranks and a reputation exists that challenging the direction leads to negative career impact.

Pros

Great time to sell into the manufacturing sector related to productivity and equipment reliability.

Cons

Operational driven company but constantly changing the sales org and strategy. "Leaders" that have no background in business development or revenue generation responsible for sales strategy. Wasn't uncommon to report to a new leader or move sales territories multiple times in a year but quota never changed. Top performers are expected to do and sell more but additional financial upside was out of the question. A select group of legacy employees and "leaders" made decisions in a bubble in most cases. I was a top performer during my entire tenure at ATS. I agreed to work out a two week notice to help transition my accounts but was terminated after three days. No one in middle management, director, or exec-level roles asked for feedback or even made the time to send an email wishing me well or thanking me for my contributions during my five years with the company. In fact, my health insurance was terminated with no warning before I left the last day. My contributions and sacrifices for ATS meant so little to the company that they didn't care that my two small children wouldn't have insurance for over a month when I tried to leave the right way.
