Pros
Co-workers at the basic level are great to work with and knowledgeable but are often seen, by upper management, as incompetent because they don’t have a college degree.
Cons
Supervision has no clue about the actual workings of the plant. Health benefits are a joke. HR seems to have a “corporate vs you” stance, and they always side with corporate before actually helping or giving guidance. Upper management seem to not care at all, except new plant manager but time will only tell. Poor career progression and outlook. Claim “competitive” pay rates but talking to other people in the field at other chemical plants, we are very under paid. Stop process is a joke because when you call for it, you’re made to feel like you’re trying to get out of work instead of hearing your safety concerns.
