My manager was a micromanager, extremely unapproachable and unhelpful. Whenever I asked a question, I was told to 'Check the procedures'. But if I screwed something up I would not hear the end of it. When I asked to switch departments, I was told I could not.
SVP stated there was a lot of growth at the company, which I realized was not true. People in the claims support unit have been there for many years and never got a promotion.
Felt like I was not valued or appreciated by superintendents and managers in the department.
The work itself is not difficult, but with bad management it is a sad job.
