Pros

You definitely learn how to work under pressure and take harsh criticism.

Cons

I was going to try and put the entire work experience at this company behind me, but after seeing all the positive (and likely falsified) reviews on this site, I had to speak up. I strongly warn anyone against even mildly considering employment at this company. The funds are misappropriated (note the well-over six figure salary of the CEO, and all her additional benefits) for a grant-funded organization that will claim there is not enough in the budget to hire someone for 30k a year. Financial matters aside, the turnover rate here is incredibly high, and it is because the CEO is certifiably insane. To say this is a hostile work environment is an understatement. She will berate employees for hours, and then will micro-manage their projects and make changes without telling her employees, which then become the basis of her fits of rage. The amount of stress incurred while working here caused me physical illness. No matter how hard I would work, or how much overtime I put in, it was never enough and I would have to sit through hours of the CEO insulting and berating me. Don't mistake that I am a bitter ex-employee. During my short time there, I saw her do this to at least 4 other employees, firing them on a whim, and completely disrespecting every employee that worked under her. She has broken contracts, tried (and succeeded) to sue numerous ex-employees, and is a generally manipulative and vicious person. I warn this, because the first few months of any experience with this company, you will not fully understand these reviews and this critique, however quickly you will see the hostility of this environment will have you feeling trapped. Even other industry professionals that the CEO does business with are sympathetic to her employees, as they know how she operates and how little respect she has for anyone that she hires. For your own physical and mental health, do NOT consider employment here. Minimum-wage flipping burgers is a better option

Pros

I greatly enjoy working at AdMeTech. We are a relatively small team, which means you get lots of hands on experience and get to communicate and learn from our President and managers daily. As someone starting medical school this year, AdMeTech has been an amazing opportunity to learn from world renowned physicians who are leading their respective fields, and learn about advocacy work with state government. I have learned and grown as an employee here, and it has been both an excellent full time (post undergraduate) and part time (during my undergraduate time) job!

Cons

I wouldn't say these are "cons," but this job requires a delicate eye and sharp organization skills!

Pros

As a paid intern at AdMeTech Foundation, I am involved in research, education, and advocacy efforts related to the organization's groundbreaking advancements in prostate cancer. Daily tasks usually include preparing for AdMeTech's yearly Global Summit through communications with participating physicians and working on social media posts, newsletters, and the scientific program to name a few of the diverse amount of tasks. Coming into this position, I had no prior knowledge about cancer. However, as a pre-medical student, I had the opportunity to study literature and research on the current clinical trials and medical advancements of prostate cancer from presentations at the Summit. Through my presentations and engaging and valuable conversations with the president and CEO of AdMeTech, Dr. Shtern, I have learned an incredible amount of knowledge relating to the treatment and management of prostate cancer. Specifically, I have learned differing perspectives and opinions on the intersection of molecular, genetic, and imaging diagnostics which has given me a strong foundation of the complexities of scientific research. Every employee at AdMeTech is wonderful to work with and very skilled! I have learned so many technical skills in addition to medicine. Working as a part-time intern during the semester has also been a great experience and very doable with pre-medical studies! I highly recommend working at AdMeTech!

Cons

The internship is currently remote, which has its added benefits and drawbacks. However, constant zoom meetings with the team and quick communication responses enhance the virtual working and have not been a problem at all! Further, virtual meetings allow for access to working with physicians worldwide! With the virtual component, there is also room for flexibility with working during the semester part-time.
