Always waiting for it to get better, it never does - Anonymous Acumen Fiscal Agent Employee Review

This company works its employees into the ground. Too much is added to your plate if you’re good, which results in long work days, frequently worked holidays & weekends, and the feeling that it will never get better. There’s always a promise of things to come. First it was the sunset of antiquated software being replaced by custom built software. But the owners of the custom built software were the CEO & CTO. It resulted in less support with known issues that wouldn’t be addressed because of the impact it would have to the sister company. Acumen was a guinea pig for the software and continues to be. We were promised better and it resulted in more manual work, difficult research, and a terrible customer experience, to which we have to answer to tainting our reputation. Long term employees and management left after being used and abused. Frequent turnover of staff that replaced managers and other staff. The Billing & Tax manager left, two payroll managers left, the COO left after she was there only a year, leads have left, and other long term employees (5+ years) either left on their own or were terminated, and they keep bad employees just to fill a seat, despite what that does to moral. The worst is the CEO, Joshua Auer as he is at the top of all of it. Glassdoor has Gerald Nebeker listed as the CEO but he handed the reigns over to Josh. He’s arrogant and doesn’t care about the customer or the employees. He openly shares political and religious beliefs that leaves others feeling isolated and left out. The CEO tries to tell people the grass isn’t greener, and if someone does leave he will openly talk negatively about that person. This is not the behavior that should be emulated by a CEO. He is an owner in DCI, the software company used and paid for by Acumen. An obvious conflict of interest which seems overlooked. The pay is horrendous and embarrassing!!
