Pros

Amazing work environment, you feel very welcome and get lots of support. You build a case load pretty quick, and the training is very extensive. You can use PTO from day one of getting hired, and from what I’ve seen, you get to work very independently (completely so after the probation period of 60 or 90 days).

Cons

During the probation period, you’re not approved to work from home. So if you need to come in an hour late for example, you can’t just make up that hour remotely, you’d have to stay in the office until you’ve made up those hours. But the cleaners come in at 4:30pm and you’d likely be the last person in the building otherwise. So if you still have case notes left to do at closing time, you might just do them at home and not clock in the hours (time billed to accord, paid to you), but you’d likely still have to bill the hours (time billed to the DHS, paid to accord).

Pros

Amazing colleagues and great support from Supervisors

Cons

Minimal support from Trainers (not their fault as they are under paid). I had an unfortunate conversation with higher ups regarding concerns. I was met with dismissive comments and encouraged to apply for growth opportunities.
