Pros
The regular staff members are amazing and the clients you serve are genuine and down to earth people. The work you will do, will make a difference to many clients lives.
Cons
The management is terrible. Upper management, meaning the directors don't know how to treat anyone with equality and inclusion. If you speak to them about your personal mental health issues, they will degrade you rather than supporting you through. The directors put pressure on the managers, who then put pressure on the working staff and at the end the credit is given only to the managers and directors and not the staff who actually worked hard to make programs or events a success. They seem to love to micromanage and also love to question why you called in sick even though it's illegal for them to do so. They promote their agency as following an anti-oppression frame work, treat people equally and as being inclusive but they have a hard time practicing these values on their staff. The managers also have trust issues with the way the staff completes their work even if it is done properly, again a reason why they micromanage their staff. It is better to find employment elsewhere than working with Access Alliance MCHS
