Pros
1. Easy interview. If passed, you’ll be subjected to a 5-day training period. Then, you’ll be having the demo lesson. If passed, you can start immediately. If failed: a) second chance; another training then another demo lesson b) total fail; wait for one month before reapplying 2. Once hired, you’ll be subjected to a one month probation. During this probation, no absence nor cancellation of class should happen. 3. Unbooked or cancelled classes are still paid
Cons
1. Supervisors are very rude to the teachers. They don’t really care what’s happening with you, nor listen to reasons why a class was cancelled. They also don’t listen to your schedules, and sometimes they cancel a whole day without your permission. 2. Students can book classes even with 5 minutes left before the actual class time. That means, you can’t review the lesson material beforehand. You learn the lesson material as you go on with the lesson. 3. HR support is also very absent. We can complain if there are problems with the classes because there are Customer Support people, but we can’t complain if the problems are regarding on the supervisors since they have no personnel to receive such complaints. 4. They don’t care about the teachers. They only care about the students. This is clearly demonstrated on how the supervisors behave when the class was cancelled due to unforseen events such as: power outage, or sudden bad connection. Some of these are unexpected and were not on purpose but the supervisors still put the blame on the teachers. 5. The tutor site always has bugs and can hinder with the classes most of the time. Most of the time, the tutor site fails to load properly. 6. They say unbooked or cancelled classes are still paid but that is completely false. I have been subjected to this situation where I only got paid with the booked classes. And until now, I still haven’t got the salary I worked hard for.
