Pros

Felt I needed to add this review in as I'm certain the one a few weeks ago wasn't actually from anyone in the CS team. Team has become closer and the culture much better than in the past. Product is interesting and good place to technically develop/learn about realtime applications (if you're inclined that way). Remote first working is great Feel more listened to by leadership and business. Direction for CS is clear with good metrics and real impact.

Cons

No company is perfect, there could be better efficiency in internal processes and some things take longer than they should. Is annoying if a customer reduces spend because they genuinely don't need parts of the service - providing more value at higher support tiers might help. I don't think Ably needs to invest in AI, but it should put effort to marketing itself as a good solution for companies with realtime AI needs.

Thanks for your review. The People and the Product come up time and again as reasons why it's enjoyable to work here. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed and appreciated the culture while you were with us.

Pros

Their platform works well but their GTM was unfortunately all over the place. Benefits were solid and the sales org was given the proper tools to manage their day to day responsibilities. Sales Engineering org knows their stuff and was always willing to go the extra mile to make the most out of opportunities.

Cons

Very little training was provided and while they always said they wanted to support and coach their reps, there was very little follow through on it. Commercially, there was little to no inbound so most activities were focused on brute force outbound that yielded very little results. Management had no answers or provided no feedback on how to improve it. The overall feeling for any reps outside of London was that you were an afterthought - across all functions it felt as though they just going through the paces if not UK-based
