AVID offers a very flexible work schedule, pay is very good, there are ample opportunities for free company outings and it is a small company, so has an intern or young engineer you are given much more responsibility than you would receive at a larger company.

AVID Technologies is a small company so there isn't much room for personal growth within the company. Salary raises do occur, but if you wish to achieve a management position, this is unlikely

Great products but have been overshadowed by off the shelf versions that have some if not all of the same features

Was there for a number of years and layoffs came almost every six months. One time they had a team working around the clock to push a release. The next Monday they laid off half that development team.
