Pros
Loved working with the students
Cons
I found the boss extremely difficult to work with. For example, she once had me, as a tutor, writing a parent an e-mail asserting that her child needed to attend for more hours -- which struck me as a transparent money-making ploy. Then, when the parents resisted, threw me under the bus saying I had no authority to write such a letter. She brought on constant conflict and was fairly demeaning in her interactions with me. It was strange because, other than that experience, I've consistently gotten very positive reviews teaching and tutoring math in many scenarios. It's been a few years, so I don't remember all the details, but this was by far the most upsetting management situation I've ever had in my life. Not to mention that they are charging parents almost 4x what they pay you, even though they typically don't provide anything concrete other than the contact between tutor in parents. Not even a work space -- I typically met students in coffee shops or at the university book store! Yuck. Stay away.
