Pros
Every engineer/ management level is very knowledgeable and technically very strong which is a rare sight. I have worked many companies and this is the first company where I look up to managers for their technical expertise and abilities. Compensation is higher than industry
Cons
Management teams do not know how to manage and team, take them for granted. Don’t even provide timely communications of personnel change. Dont take care of people needs. This company promised me a lot of things during hiring process but I come here to realize that the path to their promises are almost not at reach. The promotion policy for process engineers here isn’t justified with the fact that you would get promoted only if a customer buys a tool. This makes no sense since in R&D customer buying a tool is not in the engineers hand. It also does not prove or motivate engineers to work hard or strategically. A engineer who just walks into the door , whose tool may get sold to a customer by luck due to being in the project, gets promoted while one who slogged for 5 years doesn’t get promoted since his tool was not purchased by the customer. Work life balance can be challenging.
